GB Europe FIZZ South Africa 2016
'This isn’t just a one-time experience; it’s a life altering practice.'
Once again, GB Europe is excited to join with OAM (Out of Africa Mission) and offer a transformative discipleship and mission experience in George, South Africa.
There are two team options for 2016:
- Over 50s team
From 19th November to 3rd December 2016.
- All Ages Team
From 3rd December to 17th December 2016
What will I be doing?
FIZZ South Africa 2015 is an exciting and transformative experience with two distinct focuses:
- A) INVESTING IN YOU
Before you invest in others, we're going to invest in you.
What’s God been saying to you? Do you get a moment to 'take a breath' and be still?
A large proportion of each day will be spent in worship, Bible exploration, prayer and discussion.
- B) INVESTING IN OTHERS
You'll have many opportunities to invest in others in your team and the township communities of George.
OAM believes in an unstructured programme and being part of the rhythm of the local communities so opportunities vary. They may include:
- teaching at the local pre-school (and investing in the leaders of tomorrow)
- assisting with the feeding programme and food drops
- visiting families and showing that you care
- sharing your faith story one on one
- unstructured play with the children of the townships.
This is NOT just a photo album experience.
FIZZ South Africa 2016 will equip you to live your faith out at home as well as beyond.

Fields Of Life
Fields of Life recently launched the I AM GIRL initiative to commit to ensuring girls are empowered to complete their education and to grow into strong, healthy young women and that in time their children will have the same opportunities.
Fields of Life is committed to educating both boys and girls, men and women, within their school network in East Africa to address the challenges faced by young girls today.
GBNI would like to encourage their girls to raise £6 each to buy a personal hygiene kit for girls in Uganda.
Girls are missing school, in excess of a week per month, due to menstruating. The kit contains:
- Reusable sanitary towels,
- Pair of pants,
- Soap, wash bag and towel.
Each kit will also have advice on managing their menstrual hygiene.
So for each Pack you purchase, we encourage you to download a Card from the Leaders’ Section of the GBNI website and get the girls who raised the money to personalise the card. There are two versions of it, one is in black and white and the other is full in colour. To personalise it: take a Selfie or get your girls to draw themselves on the front cover. Inside they can write a bit about themselves and/or their company. This could be done as individuals or as a company.
You can then send your cards and your donation direct to: Ms Helen D'Arcy, Fields of Life Northern Ireland, 25 Carn Road, Portadown, Northern Ireland, BT63 5WG
